18 days in Sabah, one of the two Malaysian states located on the north coast of the island of Borneo (see map below).

This trip was organised directly with the local operator Pulau Sipadan Resort & Tours : excellent organization !

We were a group of 10 : 8 divers (6 were photographers) and 2 non divers.

Our program : 4 days (10 dives) in Lankayan Island (a 1h30 boat ride from Sandakan) ; 2 days on the main land : Sepilok (one of the only rehabilitation center for orangs-outans in the world), Sukau (the Kinabatangan river national park, in order to watch the strange Proboscis monkeys -Nasalis Larvatus- and the elephants), after that we drove to Semporna (with a short stop at the Guomantung cave), where we boarded a speedboat (a 45' ride) to Kapalai. 10 days in Kapalai (25 dives around the three islands of Kapalai, Sipadan and Mabul).
