Croisière de 8 jours 7 nuits sur le Spoilsport, catamaran à moteur de 10 cabines ; l'un des superbes vaisseaux de la flotte de Mike BALL.

Excellent confort, très bonne nourriture, staff hyper dévoué et compétent, nitrox (EAN32) à volonté, ... A peu près parfait.

Départ de Townsville, retour à Townsville, après une exploration des plus beaux sites de la mer de Corail (essentiellement sur le complexe de Flinders Reef : Watanabe, Rock Arch, M&M bommie, Geronimo's wall, Cod wall, ...) et des récifs externes de la Grande barrière (Dip reef, Myrmidon reef, Wheeler's reef,...) ; une journée complète (plongées illimitées dont une de nuit) sur l'extraordinaire épave du Yongala (malheureusement, j'ai eu la mauvaise idée de faire développer mes films du Yongala sur le bateau et ils ont raté le développement ! Résultat : aucune photo du Yongala !!!) ; au programme également, un "shark feeding" assez original (Scuba Zoo), ...

Pas mal de coraux blanchis (voir ici des INFOS sur le blanchiment des coraux sur la Grande Barrière), mais la plupart des sites choisis restaient très colorés et poissonneux, heureusement.

Sur 24 à 25 plongées possibles, je n'en ai effectué "que" 18. J'ai rapporté environ 200 photos, j'en ai conservé 120, je vous présente ici une soixantaine des meilleurs clichés.

An 8 days 7 nights cruise on the Spoilsport, a ten-cabin (twin or double) liveaboard ; one of the superb vessels of Mike BALL fleet.

High standard of comfort on board, excellent food, very helpful and competent staff, nitrox (EAN32) available, ... Close to perfection.

The vessel departs from Townsville and returns to Townsville, after an exploratory tour of the best dive sites of the Coral sea (mainly the Flinders Reef complex : Watanabe, Rock Arch, M&M bommie, Geronimo's wall, Cod wall, ...) and the outer reefs of the GBR (Dip reef, Myrmidon reef, Wheeler's reef, ...) ; a full day (unlimited number of dives, including a night dive) on the fabulous Yongala's wreck (unfortunately, I had the not so good idea to have my films of the Yongala processed on board ; they blew it and the films were ruined ! So, no pictures of the Yongala's wreck !!!) ; one of the other attractions of the cruise is an unusual "shark feeding" dive (Scuba Zoo), ...

A lot of bleached coral (see INFOS about coral bleaching on the Great Barrier Reef), but, fortunately, most of the chosen sites were still very colourful and the marine life was very rich.

24 to 25 dives were possible, I "only" did 18 dives. I brought back around 200 photographs, I chose to keep only 120, here, I present around sixty of the best shots.
